How to configure a network?



Click  the Right Mouse Button at My network Place icon on the Desktop and choose “Properties”.

Note:    If  My Network Place icon is not appear in the desktop then click on the blank area of desktop, choose properties, choose desktop tab, click on customize desktop and tick the My Network Place and Click on Apply and then OK.
Then you will see the following dialog box.
Again right click on Local Area Connection icon.
Click on Properties. Then you will see the following window.
· Client for Microsoft Networks.
· File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks.
· QoS Packet Scheduler:
· Internet Protocol (TCP/IP):
First choose “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)” option and click on “Properties” button (if needed).
Choose “Use the following IP address” and type IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway (for Internet connection and purpose of Client/Server networking).
Enter something like this
IP address 192.168.7.51
Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Note:  the second computer’s IP address would be 192.168.7.52 and so on for each computer.
Default Gateway: 192.168.7.226 (it depends up on the computer or router which type are using)
Choose “Use the following DNS server addresses” (for Internet connection or making domain) and type Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS Server addresses.
Preferred DNS Server: 192.168.7.1
Alternate DNS Server” 202.79.37.35
Click on OK.
Choose Show Icon in Notification Area when connected.
Click on OK.

Note: Repeat the same process for all connected computers.
