What is Subnet mask?

Subnet mask:
A subnet mask has a 32-bit value. Subnet mask is used to distinguish the network ID from the host ID. For example, if the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, then the first three numbers is the IP address, which represent the network ID, and the last number represents the host ID.
If you are familiar with it then you can specify the IP address.  Otherwise, don’t worry it will automatically assign the IP address.
Note: Either you can specify an IP address for all network computers yourself or you can obtain an IP address automatically from the administrator.
IP address: 192.168.0.1
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 for server computer and define for others as per given on the following Table.
