Memory related faults.

I have changed/upgraded the system memory but now nothing works. Are you new memory modules seated correctly? Are you using the right type of memory for you motherboard? Are the memory modules and the sockets clean from dust or fluff? Have you tried a different socket? Also, make sure there is not a limitation to how much memory the motherboard can take.

If you have build or upgraded an older type Pentium PC and have used SIMMs, remember that SIMMs have to be use in equal sized pairs!

I have change/upgraded the system memory but now get and error message on the screen and the system stops. Depending on you PC, you might have to tell the BIOS that your system memory has changed. Not all BIOSes are plug n' ply. You might also have to change the memory latency timing in the BIOS.
